Unbeknownst to Susan in March of 2010 her body would start to severely break down due to repetitive stress injuries. By the end of 2011, Susan sadly had to walk away from the fitness world due to several major health issues. In a 5 year period, Susan has had 5 hip replacements, a spinal fusion and a knee replacement (with another replacement pending).
So here she goes again. With being sedentary for the last 5 years, due to the injuries she sustained, she has kept busy with healing body and mind and writing a fitness blog, Bodycology. It's time to get back in the studio, 50 pounds up and start helping women (including herself) to get back into shape, with concentration on women with injuries, e.g. bad knees, back, joints, etc.

Susan has been there through the highs and lows and knows how to help you reach your goals despite your injuries, limitations and because let's face it... LIFE GETS IN THE WAY!!

Susan is in her 50's and FABULOUS and finds herself once again a curvy girl and wants this demographic in her life.. to assist and empower women of age and size. Susan knows what it means to be on a journey. We are all on one. She will help you. All you have to do is come, strive, believe and achieve.

After 3 children, many pounds up and many years away from fitness, Susan decided to get back to basics and return to what she loved and missed. With the help of a LapBand surgery and a 100lb weight loss, she was offered a teaching position at In Shape Fitness. Susan became certified as a personal trainer with AFAA, Body Combat, Body Step, Body flow through Les Milles. Group kick, group groove, group power, group ride, group active, group step, group kick through Body Training Systems (BTS), now MOSSA Group Fitness. In 2005, Susan was offered the group Fitness Directorship of Healthtrax in North Haven, where she brought BTS and many fabulous group fitness instructors to their facility and family of fitness experts. Susan left Healthtrax in 2007 to pursue her lifelong dream... opening a state of the art womens only fitness facility, BodyWorks in East Haven, Ct and followed with the successful openings of both Pure Studios and Shoreline Bootcamp in Branford, Ct.

About Susan...

Susan has been helping women get fit for over 30 years. She holds a strong belief that women should train women, while inspiring clients to not only get fit physically, but mentally and spiritually as well..

Susan's fitness journey began at Gloria Stevens in 1981 and from there went to Spa Lady, where machine training was introduced to women on a smaller scale. Susan also taught for Teddie Wedrow, founder of Teddie Wedrow & Co, who was responsible for bringing womens fitness to local church basements and firehouse halls, as well as bringing physical fitness to the employees of both Yale New Haven and St. Raphael's hospitals. Fresh off the success of working for Teddie Wedrow & Co, Susan decided to venture out on her own and founded Aerobics & More in 1985.
